Dia De Los Muertos
Alebrijes are a spirit animal and a form of symbolic art in Mexico to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, the Day Of the Dead. Alebrijes combine multiple types of animals and are depicted in vibrant, neon colors. This Alebrije design for UWM Student Involvement was based off of our mascot and sculpture, Pounce the Panther.
